Submersible Pumps

Submersible pumps (also known as sump pumps) are specially designed so that they can operate in pits pumping dirty water & sewage, they are somewhat different from borehole pumps which tend to be long and slender and are designed for deep narrow shafts and wells (needless to say London Pumps also stock & sell a wide range of borehole pumps as well). To Quote LW Sayer the drilling experts their definition of submersible pumps runs as follows "The pump within the well that is directly coupled to an electric motor and is constructed to be water tight for submersion within the well. The pump is supported and attached to the discharge pipe."
